Miss California - written by Andrew Handrick I’ll make you remember.. I’ll make you remember.. If this was the last time, Would you let me know. If this was the last night, Would I see you go, don’t answer Answer yes and it feels like silence, Answer yes and it feels like silence I’ll make you remember, I’ll make you remember If I miss you this morning, Would it be so bad. I found I’m only mortal, Is it all we have. If I miss California, If I miss California, If I miss California, If I miss California, Answer yes and it feels like silence, Answer yes and it feels like silence, like silence.. Ooooo…Like silence…

Time 02:59
Time - written by Andrew Handrick Harder now to tell you, Just easier to know, The reasons why I’m leaving are those, Reasons I must go. Your face I have imprisoned, Deep inside my mind, And I cannot outrun it, The reason is just.. Time, well it’s getting away from me, And I’m feeling like I can’t see, The wrong from the right, I, well I just don’t know where to be, And there’s too much inside of me, That I cannot find, I cannot find.. Harder now to tell you, Just easier to know, A place is where a face is just a, Picture in the snow. The sidewalk is an easy friend, To take with me tonight, So I shudder from the cold, And hope that this is not my, Time, well it’s getting away from me, And I’m feeling like I can’t see, The wrong from the right. I, well I just don’t know where to be, And there’s too much inside of me, That I cannot find...

Come Around 03:05
Come Around - written by Andrew Handrick Remember me I’m still around, I’m far too young to face this down, It’s taken over and it’s tickin’ over and I, Well I’m gonna fight it now, And I might just come around.. I’m takin’ care, I’m takin’ stock, It’s not the land that time forgot, I’m findin’ all the reasons, To bring me to seasons, And now the leaves are fallin’ brown, And I might just come around… I’m findin’ out there is no break. It’s just a life I have to make, A little space for feelin’, A little tired of stealin’, And now I feel I’ve come around, And I’m gonna leave… A little space for feelin’, A little tired of stealin’, And now I feel I’ve come around Now I feel life comin’ round. Now I feel I’m comin’, Now I feel life comin, Now I feel I’ve come around And I’m gonna leave this town… Come on, Come on, Come on, Come on, Come around…

Learning Curve – written by Andrew Handrick I might have known, You were a lucky star, How was I to know, You couldn’t go that far, And I might have said, Girl you’re a love struck, And I might have stood, Still on a learning curve.. You said a lot of good things, You did a lot of bad things, I could have been the one, To only love you, true.. If I’m out of love, I’d never live that long, If I’m out of touch, I couldn’t go that far, If I got to change, You stole a lot of sun, But I got the gold.. You said a lot of good things, You did a lot of bad things, I could have been the one, To only love you, true, (repeat) To only love you…

90 Miles An Hour - written by Andrew Handrick My mind is like a flower its open everyday, 90 miles an hour from august thru to may, If only I could see you, if only I could say, I’ll see you in December if the sunshine stays away, If the sunshine stays away.. I got a lot of meaning it’s all wrapped up in hope, A friend tells me she’s leaving she’s going it alone, I don’t know what to tell her, I don’t know what to say, I’ll see you in December if the sunshine stays away, If the sunshine stays away, you think the sun will stay away, I think the sun will stay away… Hey yeah if the sunshine stays away, Hey yeah if the sunshine stays away, Hey yeah if the sunshine stays away, Hey yeah.. Don’t let me down, Don’t want you around, Won’t let you down, Don’t need you around, Don’t let me down, Don’t lead me around, Don’t want you around, If the sunshine stays away…

City Morn 03:47
City Morn’ – written by Andrew Handrick Woke up on a city morn’ You’ve lived for another one. Moon only half way down, So I slip on another clown, And you’re the only one who knows, I slip on another clown.. Woke up when you went away. If you found a place you’d stay. But I miss when you’re not around, So I slip on another clown, And you’re the only one who knows, I slip on another, Slip on another clown, And you’re the only one who knows..

Ground Down 04:40
Ground Down - written by Andrew Handrick Surface tension hits the air, But I don’t recognise the sound, Everyone comes round to, Open up a whole right in the ground, And it’s only, just begun… So I imagine every sound, A place where I might come to ground, Still everyone comes round to, Pack away the whole that I have found, And I might be trying, Just to hard to run… So put a sign on me, Put a sign on me, Put sign on me… Claw the ground beneath my feet, For I have lost the need to see, Still everyone comes round to, Find a way to steal what I am now, And I might be dying, But I’m having fun… So put a sign on me, Put a sign on me, Put a sign on me….. You ground me, You ground me down, You ground me, You ground me down..

Stolen 03:45
Stolen - written by Andrew Handrick There’s just a memory, of what we had, Too much forgiving, for you to place your hand, Count out the stars now, forever make a map, Still a beginning, but why do you feel sad, Why do you feel sad, Why do you feel sad... You can’t relive it, its time has come and gone, Into the season, never meant to last, Forgotten stolen, before the sun was gone, But still I can hold it, so why do you feel sad, So why do you feel sad, So why do you feel sad... Well it’s the way that you have made me know, Yeah it’s the way that you made me know, Well it’s the way you have made me know, There’s just a memory, of what we had, Too much forgiving, for you to place your hand, Count out the stars now, forever make a map, Still a beginning, but why do you feel sad, Why do you feel sad, Why do you feel sad... Well it’s the way that you have made me know, Yeah it’s the way that you made me know, Well it’s the way you have made me know…

An Answer 03:43
An Answer - written by Andrew Handrick Turned around before I saw you, Caught me right between the eyes, Wasn’t looking for nobody, Just a friend, just a friend.. And a nice surprise, An answer.. A nice surprise, An Answer.. Happened well before it started, Between the writer and defeat, Sailed away just as I met you, Never thought about a question.. Just a nice surprise, An answer… A nice surprise, An answer.. This is my ever-changing weather, These are the things that make me better, This is my ever-changing weather, These are the things that make me better… Make me better… A nice surprise, An Answer...

Wendy 03:57
Wendy - written by Andrew Handrick I wrote down this song, I thought you might want to learn it, Well it’s not big on words, But I can tell you that I meant it, And it’s not quite a story, And it’s not quite an answer, But I remember when you said to me, Hey, you didn’t want to be a dancer You didn’t want to be a dancer So pick up on this, And put it to your memory, And if someone asks you, What do you do Wendy, Recite this line for line, And with all your good intention, You say you learned this song cause You didn’t want to be a dancer You didn’t want to be a dancer Yeah, hey yeah You didn’t want to be a dancer Ohhh no, you didn’t want to be a dancer Wendy, Wendy, Wendy, Wendy, Come on, Come on, Come on, Wendy Come on now, Wendy….. You didn’t want to be a dancer…

about

Debut album, released in 2005.

This album came together over a two year period, while the majority of songs were recorded and mixed during about 8 days in 2005. While it was a tough task to play most of the various instruments myself on these songs, it was of course a labour of love and once again a great atmosphere to record in.

Thanks to Ciaran for his drumming and for putting up with my stupid jokes and to Andreas for his memorable piano playing on City Morn', even if he doesn't remember playing on the song....
